Any facts on Laos and Thailand thx.?

ummmm…. going there nxt year (2011) ^ ^ need any interesting facts, like travel, flights (times and length of flight from perth). Currency conversions, time difference and any religion or culture facts. anything in a need to know basis.

i have been to laos 17 times the last time was 6 weeks ago, if you are traveling in Thailand first then take thai baht you can spend this any wear go up to nong khia a lovely town not to big i get a room for 150 baht a night their you can then cross the border in to loas and get your visa for 1 month then tuk tuk in to town about 50 baht get a room for about 250 baht taveling north by bus is cheap but get going at about 5 am from the northen bus depo the mountain are wonderful you can make your way to the china border but after so long you will have to take a boat up the rivers as the roads run out.

where to contact travellers to phuket online ?

is there an online forum, like the old yahoo chatrooms, where travelers can get in touch before going to a destination. Answers is great for info, but not to make contacts and conversation about a trip.

try trip advisor for guests reviews and opinions etc.
