Udon Thani Honda

I want to ship my Honda Goldwing Motorcycle from the West Coast, USA, to Bangkok, Thailand.?

Who offers this service, how much, how long will it take, insurance. I am moving, retiring in Udon Thani, Thailand and I want to take my new Honda Goldwing Motorcycle with me.

this has been a while ago….but it’s how I did it. I called the airline to get price and info, they were able to give me a guys name (a contractor, not an actual employee of the airline) that actually came out to my house, crated the bike, delivered to the airport (St. Louis, MO) loaded on a plane and flown to Frankfort, Germany. The whole thing cost me 700 bucks. (and that included insurance) (Be prepared for possible customs issues…the germans wanted to charge me a tax, but fortunately by being in the military i was able to get the proper forms of exemption.) From the time the guy picked it up at my house in IL, ’til I picked it up in Germany was 4 days.
-it would have been only 3 days, had I known about the right customs forms to take along.

That was back in ‘91 with a 91 GSXR-750, on TWA airlines. Quite a bit smaller than a ‘wing and I’m sure alot has changed since 9/11, heck TWA is not even around anymore. But, I would start with a call to the airlines and try to reach someone in the freight dept. they should be able to get you pointed in the right direction.
